BECOME INVOLVED WITH OPTIMISM

There are several ways that an individual can become involved with our Optimist organization, either as a member or a non-member.  

Anyone can become involved by supporting a fundraiser, volunteering, donating, be a guest at a meeting, becoming an Optimist Club member, and/or become a Friends of Optimist participant.

All our members share one common trait – We know that we can make a difference in the lives of others, and in our community.  

Membership Requirements:  Pay your Annual Dues ($35 subject to change);  volunteer to work one 3-4 hr shift per year at the Chippewa Falls Optimist Club cheese curd stand located at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds.

Chippewa Falls Optimist Club

• Consists of members who have an interest in our community, with a focus on promoting the development, education, and skill levels of youth living in our city and surrounding area. 
• Provides financial support to youth organizations and individuals
• Provides opportunities for youth volunteer work
• Sponsor fundraisers to support our purpose
• The Chippewa Falls Optimist Club was founded in 1969
• The Chippewa Falls Optimist Club Foundation was founded in 1973

                           Is a 503(c)(4) tax-exempt nonprofit entity 

• Is a local chapter club under Optimist International  

The Chippewa Falls Optimist Club has been a major influence in the development of the Chippewa Valley communities.  It has raised several hundred thousand dollars and have used those funds to support numerous local youth and community projects.

Any Optimist Member who is enrolled as a full-time college student (minimum of 12 credit hours) is eligible to have their annual dues reduced.

Individuals can show their support of Optimist International by becoming Friends of Optimists.  A Friend of Optimists may be someone who may not have time to dedicate to a local Optimist Club. Optimist Clubs can also bestow a Friend of Optimists membership on a community member who has shown great support for the Club.
